About Fuel Truck Exchange

A marketplace built by people who've been in this business for sixty years.

Not a generic truck-trading site. Built specifically for fuel trucks, tank trailers, and the operators who depend on them.

Who we are

Fuel Truck Exchange is operated by Post Leasing & Sales, a family business out of Knoxville, Tennessee. Pat Fultz started the company in the early 1960s. His son Steve runs it now. Sixty-plus years of buying, selling, leasing, and repairing petroleum transport equipment, with the receipts to back it up.

We sit at the intersection of I-40 and I-75, which puts us in front of more fuel trucks and tank trailers than most people see in a lifetime. We've seen what holds up and what doesn't. We know which OEMs build trucks that last and which ones cut corners. We know the difference between a Tremcar and a willfit, and why it matters for your business.

We built this site because the existing options weren't good enough.

Why we built this

The generic equipment marketplaces don't understand tank specs. They treat a DOT-406 aluminum tanker the same as a pickup truck. They don't capture compartment configurations. They don't track PIVK expiration. They don't know what a manifolded discharge is, and the listings show it.

The result is a buyer experience full of half-finished posts, missing photos, and listings that get pulled after you've made a call. Sellers don't get the right buyers in front of them. Buyers waste hours filtering through equipment that doesn't fit their operation.

So we built something different. Every listing is reviewed by someone who knows this equipment before it goes live. Tank capacity gets confirmed. DOT and PIVK status gets verified where we can. Photos have to actually show the equipment. If something looks off, we ask questions before the listing publishes.

It takes a little more time upfront. It saves everyone time on the back end.

What's different here

  • Manual review of every listing. A real person who knows the equipment looks at the specs and the photos before anything publishes.
  • Buyer inquiries route through us. Sellers don't get their phone blown up by tire-kickers. Buyers get their questions answered by someone who's seen the equipment.
  • Industry-specific fields. Tank capacity, compartments, DOT/PIVK status, metering, pump condition. Real fields, not afterthoughts.
  • Our own inventory listed here too. Post Leasing & Sales sells through this site alongside other dealers. Same review process. Same standards.
  • Financing built in. Calculator on every listing. Lead routing to a finance partner when buyers want it.

Our family of companies

Fuel Truck Exchange is one piece of a family business that's been working in petroleum transport since the 1960s. Here's everything we run:

The original. Equipment for sale and lease since the 1960s.

Post Onsite Tank Repair

Mobile repair and maintenance. We come to your yard with the parts and the people.

Knox Trailers

Trailer manufacturing and sales. Tank trailers built for the work, not for the brochure.

KP Services

Operational support for petroleum transport businesses. The people behind the trucks.

Buying, selling, or just looking?

Browse the inventory. Or list your equipment. We'll take it from there.

For Steve, before publish:

Verify a few facts before this goes live: founding year (I wrote "early 1960s"), Pat Fultz as founder, the four sister companies above are accurate, and the Knoxville/I-40+I-75 detail. Also worth your call: do you want any specific equipment expertise calls (e.g., "we've worked on every major OEM") added? Numbers stats section removed from this draft because I didn't have verified figures.
